Valle Escondido Real Estate Residential and Resort Development

Valle Escondido, the luxury residential gated community has been under development for the past decade. As of mid-2008, there were about 200 residences completed comprised of single-family homes, condominiums and duplex villas and hotel units.

65% of the residents live there year-round and are North Americans. Panamanians have homes or second homes there. While the majority of residents are over 50 years of age, more than a dozen or more families with children are living and moving into the community.

There is a Country Club that offers nine hole golf course, a club house with fitness center, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, racquet ball and tennis courts, game room with billiards and card tables, event rooms for meetings or parties.

In 2000, Sam Tailiaferro, an inventor with patented technologies, had an idea to create Valle Escondido, a residential resort community in the mountain highlands to appeal to those looking for an exotic first-world lifestyle. The small village of Boquete has since become known throughout the world as a retirement and tourist hot spot, primarily due to Sam’s marketing efforts. The success of Valle Escondido lit the fuse that started the real estate boom (and subsequent bust) in Panama.

Sam was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2009 and just recently passed away. His vision for a quality development is being fulfilled.

Valle Escondido is one of the largest employers, hiring around 100 local workers in Boquete and the surrounding towns.

For a luxurious 4 bedroom 4 bathroom 5000 sq. ft single family residence, it will cost you around $765,000. There are 3 bedroom 3 bath single family homes with 3000 sq. ft. of living space with extraordinary views overlooking the golf course for $375,000.

Real Estate Prices for condominiums and/or town-homes–3 bd 2 bath 1500 –1700 sq. ft are in the $215,000–$250,000 range.

Outside of the gated community, there are housing alternatives (under 100K)  integrated into the family oriented warm-hearted local community.

There are other residential developments including the residences at Cielo Paraiso along with an 18 hole golf course with golf course view condominiums priced from the low $100,000s.

The beauty of the lush green valley, with manicured golf course, great architecture for the club house and residences make this a place to see.
